Snapshot Bulk Actions

Bulk actions allow to execute certain tasks on selected or all snapshots under given account and region.

To execute a bulk action, go to Snapshot section and from the menu button, located below the list of snapshots, select the action you want to execute.

[Selected Snapshots]{style="text-decoration: underline; "} – snapshots with checkbox in the first column checked on.

[‘No delete’ tag]{style="text-decoration: underline; "} – this is the EC2 tag named ‘ecg_do_no_delete’. When this tag is applied to AMI or snapshot, the maintenance process will not delete this object regardless of retention settings.

“Add ‘no delete’ tag to selected Snapshots”

This action will apply ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag to selected snapshots.

“Clear ‘no delete’ tag from selected Snapshots”

This action will remove ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag from selected snapshots.

“Clear ‘no delete’ tag from all Snapshots”

This action will remove ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag from all snapshots.

“Delete selected Snapshots – Respect ‘No delete’ tag”

This action will delete selected snapshots that don’t have ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag

“Delete selected Snapshots – Ignore ‘No delete’ tag”

This action will delete selected snapshots regardless if they have or have not set ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag.

“Delete all Snapshots – Respect ‘No delete’ tag”

This action will delete all snapshots that don’t have ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag.

“Delete all Snapshots – Ignore ‘No delete’ tag”

This action will delete all snapshots regardless if they have or have not set ‘ecg_do_not_delete’ tag.
